Lindsay Wood Brown • LIVE (virtual)
Are you interested in broadening the scope of your behavioral work to support clients whose dogs demonstrate resource-related (food and item) guarding behavior? Or do you work in a shelter that sees a significant number of dogs surrendered for guarding in their homes?
Join Lindsay Wood Brown for her ClickerExpo LIVE Learning Lab, where she’ll explore principles that apply broadly to both food- and object-guarding and focus on the application of intervention procedures. Watch or follow along with your own animal as Lindsay guides Animal/Handler Spotlight Teams through exercises that blend operant and classical conditioning, and begin to develop fluency in the mechanical skills necessary for efficient and effective intervention.
*Please note* The first clip in this video is from a shelter's initial behavior assessment and serves as a video of baseline behavior of the presenting problem prior to intervention. The assessment is not part of the resource-guarding protocol that will be shared at ClickerExpo.
The Learning Lab is designed for dog trainers, behavior consultants, shelter professionals, and volunteers to learn and practice the application of intervention procedures; dogs that guard food or other items from their handlers should not participate. While we're excited to be able to share this protocol and have registrants practice in real-time, we recommend that dog caregivers consult with a professional trainer for help with resource-guarding.
