Guide-& Assistance-Dog Groups See Clickers in Present & Future

Positive training is a triple benefit. Training is completed more quickly, more animals finish the program successfully, and more human-animal matches are successful.

Assistance-animal and guide-animal trainers from all over the world will be coming to the 2019 ClickerExpo animal training and behavior conferences to learn, network, and explore. Some of these trainers are just considering the transition, others are well along the way, and still others have completed the transition process entirely.

Organizations represented at ClickerExpo in 2019 include Atlas Assistance DogsGuide Dogs for the Blind, Guide Dog Foundation for the BlindAmerica’s VetDogsAlpha Bravo CanineBrigadoon Service DogsGuiding Eyes for the BlindLeader Dogs for the BlindPaws Assisting VeteransPuppy Jake FoundationSummit Assistance Dogsand Susquehanna Service Dogs.

Whether you are already down this path or just curious, take this opportunity to explore the bright future of assistance-animal and guide-animal training. You can even dig in in learn by getting “hands-on” through our popular Learning Lab course format.

  1. Saved for Service and Education Inc. has used clicker training since the beginning. You can’t put a choke chain on a parrot (the education part of our organization)! Besides training dogs who need a home as Service Dogs, we do educational shows with the birds….like the Say No to Drugs or the Anti-Bullying bird show.
