TIME TO GO OUT!
START-BUTTON BEHAVIORS

EMELIE JOHNSON VEGH & EVA BERTILSSON

Start buttons are an integral part of training, providing greater control to the animals, enhancing communication and trust, and improving results! Watch as puppy Tessa demonstrates the following “start button” behaviors to let Emelie know she is ready to have her harness put on: Tessa looks at Emelie to produce the harness; looks at the harness and the harness is presented; moves into the harness for the harness to be put on her body; and keeps her feet still so that the harness can be clipped on!
